Biography
Michal Mráz (b.1987) was born and raised in Bratislava, Slovakia where he currently resides. Mráz' work bridges the gap between modern stencil realism and urban contemporary.

Originally he studied sculpture at the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Bratislava.
His present body of work consist of contrasting narratives. Each work encompasses multiple layered stories, ideas & metaphors, all while on one painted surface.  The finished result, a highly charged picture, electric with a life of its own, froze in time, as if against it’s own will. Mraz’s ideas are executed with little color but prevailing emotion and explores topics of globalisation, society’s perception, principles of consumerism, human systems and the control of society.

MM studied on Academy of Fine Arts and Design, Atelier J. Hoffstädter in Bratislava, Slovakia.  In 2012, his work was nominated for the Artaq Urban Art Award in Paris.
